FIT EDIH Projects – A Look at Our Diversified Portfolio
FIT EDIH enjoys a robust European ecosystem, benefiting from the support of prestigious networks such as EIT Manufacturing, EIT InnoEnergy and EIT Urban Mobility, as well as notable EDIH networks and projects such as BOWI, Smart Agri Hubs and DIH^2.
EIT Manufacturing
Since June 2020, Iceberg Plus, the main organizer of FIT EDIH, represents EIT Manufacturing in Romania. In this role, the hub facilitated the involvement of various national entities in EIT Manufacturing activities. Numerous events were organized to strengthen existing partnerships, initiate new outreach activities and create new collaborations between EIT Manufacturing and regional and national strategies.
EIT Urban Mobility
Starting from October 2021, Iceberg Plus manages the EIT Urban Mobility Hub in Romania. This hub aims to capitalize on innovations in urban mobility, responding to current challenges of cities. The hub offers expertise, partnerships and access to funding, promoting innovative projects and initiatives in the field of urban mobility.
BOWI
BOWI is a network of Digital Innovation Hubs in Europe, funded by Horizon 2020. The project aims to reduce regional disparities in digital maturity through knowledge and good practices exchanges between mature and emerging DIHs. BOWI provides up to €4.8 million to finance 60 technology transfer experiments for SMEs. Iceberg, as the orchestrator of the FIT EDIH, coordinates the open calls in the region and provides mentoring for the selected experiments.
Smart Agri Hubs
FIT EDIH, with Iceberg as orchestrator, is a member of the Smart Agri Hubs H2020 project, dedicated to the digitalization of European agriculture. Our goal is to promote an agricultural innovation ecosystem oriented towards excellence and sustainability. We organized a hackathon funded through the RESTART Open Call, helping 50 cattle farmers test DIH services and co-develop digital solutions to increase the resilience of the sector.
DIH^2 Network
DIH^2 is a network of 25 Digital Innovation Hubs in Europe, funded by Horizon 2020. The network aims to generate innovation and maximize the productivity of SMEs in manufacturing through the use of robots and advanced technologies. DIH^2 offers funding of up to €248,000 for ambitious digital transformation projects. Iceberg, as the orchestrator of the FIT EDIH, coordinates communication and dissemination activities to increase SME participation in calls for proposals.
Enterprise Europe Network
By involving the members of the FIT EDIH consortium, Iceberg Plus and ASIMCOV, in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), we offer internationalization services and partnership, financing and cooperation opportunities for SMEs in the Central region. The project includes internationalization activities and the organization of networking events for SMEs.
